Professional Partnerships for Better Protection

After two decades, Fire Protection Inc. has built relationships with some of the best suppliers and service providers in the business. Our relationships with our suppliers and manufacturers enable us to provide superior service and benefit our clients.

Choosing the Right System

The right suppression system depends on what the building does, how it is heated, and what it stores. Getting this decision right at design stage avoids expensive remedial work later.

Wet pipe systems

The standard choice for heated commercial buildings. Pipework is permanently charged with water, so response is immediate and maintenance requirements are the lowest of any system type.

Dry pipe systems

Used where pipework is exposed to freezing — unheated warehouses, loading docks, parking structures, and canopies. Pipes hold pressurised air until a head operates. Dry systems cost more to install and maintain but are essential where a wet system would freeze and split.

Glycol systems

Antifreeze loops serving smaller unheated areas off an otherwise wet system, where installing a full dry system would not be justified.

What Installation Involves

Effective fire protection starts with foresight and careful planning. Our expert team conducts full facility assessments to evaluate your specific needs and all applicable fire-related regulations. Working in tandem with design professionals, we provide meticulous sprinkler system design tailored specifically to your organisation, ensuring maximum protection and strict compliance at the lowest overall cost.

A typical commercial installation runs through facility assessment, hydraulic design and plan preparation, submittal to the authority having jurisdiction, installation of mains and branch lines, head installation and trim, then testing and commissioning before the system is placed in service.

Supporting infrastructure

Proper water pressure and external delivery are critical for emergency fire safety. Many installations also require fire pumps, underground main installation, fire hydrants, and backflow prevention. Our State-of-Ohio-certified specialists manage complete underground main installation and service, using specialised techniques such as Aquatherm piping and butt fusion welding for main water branch lines.

New Construction and Retrofit

New construction lets the system be designed alongside the building, which is always cheaper and cleaner. Retrofit work in an occupied building is more constrained: routing has to work around existing structure and services, and installation is usually phased to keep the premises trading. We have handled both, including new construction, premium student housing, complex renovations, and ongoing plant maintenance.

We guarantee our work to be free from defects, backing every job and product installation with a minimum one-year warranty.
